Nov. 2--The Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Co-operatives expects to sign up at least 50,000 people for the new credit card it plans to launch early next year.
President Thiraphong Tangthirasunan said the bank would first target those of its customers with internal credit ratings of A or higher, estimated to number about 500,000.
Credit lines for the new cards would be established at 10 percent of their current loans, he said.
While the bank was hoping to sign up at least 50,000 users, or 10 percent of the market segment, Mr Thiraphong said 30 percent penetration was possible.
