French to help boost Thailand's marine industry in Phuket.

Nov. 1--Thailand is using the French marine tourism industry as a model to develop Phuket as a premium marina destination in the region.
The Thai government recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the French government to join forces in developing and promoting marine tourism.
Like France's Riviera, a well-known destination for affluent yachters, Thailand could follow its development model to make Phuket a similar leisure-oriented tourism hot spot.
