Thai rancher wants risk factors outlined for cattle-raising promotion.

Nov. 1--A government-initiated project to encourage farmers to raise one million more cows needs to adopt a risk management approach and should begin with a small prototype scheme, industry executives say.
Choak Bulakul, executive director of the Chokchai Farm Group of Companies, expressed doubts about obtaining participation from farmers in the One Million Cow project, saying it was not clear whether it was conceived as a political ploy or for the actual benefit of the farmers.
