Online holiday sales this year will hit $13.2 bil, according to Forrester Research, up 20% over the year-ago period and a larger growth rate than the 4.5% increase predicted for brick-and-mortar retailers. The growth rate's slowing from the 31% rise logged in '03 due to a slowdown in the number of new vendors. Online holiday sales are still a fraction of the NRF's estimated $220 bil for this holiday season.
