2004 NOV 4 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Catheter technology company LuMend Inc. has launched a new re-entry catheter for peripheral crossing technology.
According to LuMend, its new system, called the Outback Re-Entry Catheter, is the first system that addresses the two major challenges associated with facilitating treatment of chronic total occlusions in peripheral arteries - lesion crossing and sub-intimal re-entry.
Chronic total occlusions are among the most common reasons for surgery or bypass grafting in patients with vascular disease.
