2004 NOV 4 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- At the recent American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology meeting, Eastman Kodak Company announced changes to its computed radiography system, called KODAK 2000RT CR Plus.
The company also demonstrated the Web-based distribution component that transmits patient images and reports, and also has e-mail and data storage services that provide privacy and security necessary for patient records.
The KODAK 2000RT CR Plus System is a computed radiography (CR) system that provides digital capture of portal localization, verification, and simulation images used in treatment of cancer patients. Upgrades to the KODAK 2000RT CR Plus System include features that simplify operator interface commands and improve productivity by eliminating the need for an operator to examine each image prior to sending it to a physician for review. The system's new capabilities also include posting notification to the operator interface to confirm that images have been transmitted to patient management systems or other destinations.
