Cancer research company receives grant to study cell-based cancer vaccine.

2004 NOV 3 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- MOLOGEN announced a grant from the Innovation Support Program of Berlin for the development of a cell-based, tumor-specific treatment for renal cell carcinoma.

According to the announcement, MOLOGEN will receive up to 212,000 EUR for the next 15 months, with an evaluation slated for the 7-month mark. The grant supports pre-clinical development as well as clinical trial starting costs. Subsequently, MOLOGEN said it will initiate a phase I/II clinical trial, where the therapeutic cell-based vaccine will be evaluated in patients with renal cell carcinoma.
