The 2-year study collected data representing more than 6,000 patients undergoing treatment for depression. According to Pacificare, its study results challenge medical and mental health professionals' recommendations advocating strict adherence to standard treatment protocols and longer lengths of treatment for better outcomes of severely depressed patients.
