Specialty Underwriters publishes price range

Dallas-based Specialty Underwriters' Alliance Inc., a property and casualty insurer, on Wednesday, Oct. 20, said it would price its 20-million share initial public offering at $10 to $12 a share. The company said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that the underwriters would have an overallotment option covering 3 million shares, meaning the offering could raise as much as about $276 million. SUA plans to list its shares on Nasdaq under the ticker SUAI. The company has hired Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Co., William Blair & Co. LLC and Cochran, Caronia & Co. as …
