Buying a Ferrari and an underdog
Regarding the Sept. 27 "Scuderia You'' story: The 2002 Ferrari F1 cars for sale at $1.7 million each are among the best bargains in the world. Yes, you could buy an Enzo, but good luck finding one for less than $1 million. A Ferrari F1 car, one of the most prized vehicles in the world, requires the ultimate in technology and money to build, and you can own it for far less than Ferrari paid for its initial development cost. Where do I sign up?

If you can buy a race-used Ferrari F1 car for $1.7 million, how much for a used Minardi F1 car? I'd even take a backup car. I figure Minardi is about one-hundredth as successful as Ferrari, so the going rate must be about $17,000. The Minardi would do quite well at next weekend's autocross.

How about a follow-up on one of the Ferrari photos? The one showing the steering wheel's two dozen or so different lights, buttons, dials and switches. It would be interesting to know what sort of things they are for.
