Oct. 15--When Rosalyn Wilson moved from her house in Flower Mound to Denton's Robson Ranch, she wasn't trying to escape the big city.
She considered a retirement community in the Texas Hill Country, "but I didn't want to move that far away from family and friends."
That's a common concern as aging Americans look for retirement living, housing analysts say. Increasingly, buyers are staying in urban areas rather than heading for the hills, the beach or the desert. And for people in Dallas-Fort Worth, the retirement options have been limited.
But a project planned on Lake Lewisville, along with two existing developments, will offer thousands of new homes targeted at senior buyers.
Del Webb Corp., a unit of Pulte Homes, purchased land last month in Frisco for a 2,500-home retirement community.
