Royal Naval Reservist, Lieutenant Commander Barbara Mann, from Millbrook, has been awarded the Volunteer Reserve Forces Medal, in recognition of over 10 years' service in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Barbara, who works for Flagship Training Limited, carries out the duties of First Lieutenant at the Reserve Training Centre HMS Vivid.

The medal was presented at the rededication ceremony of HMS Vivid. The guest of honour was Commodore Andrew Mathews, the Naval Base Commander.
