BEIJING, Oct 15 Asia Pulse - Sales of medical apparatus in China have topped 54.8 billion yuan (US$6.6 billion) a year to date, according to official statistics.

Annual sales of high-tech medical instruments are about 10 billion yuan at present and continue to grow at an annual rate of 14 per cent.

Annual sales of CT products are about 1.6 billion yuan, magnetic resonance products are at 1.2 billion yuan, ultrasonic products are bringing in about 2 billion yuan, X-ray products are 2 billion yuan, and patient monitoring and bio-chemical analytic testing equipment's annual sales are about 1.5 billion yuan.
