Oct. 14--The Jackson County Sports Complex Authority on Wednesday approved a new multi-county board to oversee stadium renovations promised by a proposed bistate sales tax.

If voters approve Bistate II, the new 10-member Metropolitan Stadium Improvements Board would be comprised of representatives from the counties that approve the Bistate II sales tax. The advisory board would be appointed to the Bistate Commission and provide general oversight for the commission, which will have final authority over how bistate tax money would be spent.
