Displays 'Electron' tire, fuel-saver and run-flat at Detroit auto show
Many tire manufacturers are developing tires for electric cars, and all point to low rolling resistance as the major key to success. At the North American International Auto Show held in January in Detroit, Michelin unveiled its entry in the electric car tire market, the Electron.
Last year as the 80,000-mile XH4 was being introduced, a Michelin spokesperson said, "Michelin intends to be the leader in electric-car tire technology and development."
