An English law student has won a long-running battle with police who claimed they clocked his 1.2-liter Fiat Punto at 115 mph. Steve Lucas, 20, from St. Helens, Merseyside, had an independent traffic consultant test the Punto on a racetrack. Technical evidence proved the car could not accelerate past 104 mph, and prosecutors dropped the charge.
