Feb. 4--Executives of the Asia Broadcasting and Communication Network (ABCN), a satellite joint venture between the Thai private sector and Laos, will fly to Laos this month to negotiate terms for the project.
Jrarat Pingclasai, the chief executive of ABCN, said negotiations with the Laotian government would focus on the conditions under which a Canadian fund had offered to take an 80 percent stake in the venture.
United Communication Industry Plc is currently ABCN's major private shareholder with a 19 percent stake. The others are International Engineering 17 percent , Telesat Canada 10 percent , Loral 6 percent ...
