Feb. 2--The Stock Exchange of Thailand says it is ready to offer the services of its subsidiary Settrade.com to the Telephone Organisation of Thailand to help manage its planned initial public offering later this year.
Sopawadee Lertmanaschai, a senior vice-president of the SET, said that Settrade.com could also help place the shares of other large initial public offerings.
She said the firm could help investors participate in share subscriptions through the Internet, with the SET helping to ensure that placements were randomly allocated.
Settrade.com would serve only as a sales agent for shares, she said.
