Feb. 1--Production of packaging paper in Thailand will be expanded in coming years when demand for the product is projected to increase, according to Oij Paper Co.
Japan's largest paper producer, which is also the second biggest in the world, planned to increase its total production capacity in Southeast Asia and China combined to one million tonnes within five years, when the Japanese economy and market demand were expected to improve, said Masahiko Asai, the senior managing director.
