Mar. 2--With chicken exports taking wing, Charoen Pokphand Foods Plc has increased its sales-revenue target this year to 82 billion baht from 77 billion.
Last year, the company's revenue totalled 74.8 billion baht, up from the 70 billion baht projected and about 20 percent more than the 61.9 billion received in 2000.
Chicken exports running ahead of expectation were the main reason for raising the target, said Adirek Sripratak, the chief operating officer.
Last year, revenue from the poultry business jumped by 28 percent to 50.88 billion baht, while gross earnings from aquaculture increased by 7 percent to 23.94 billion.
