Mar. 1--Beyond beautiful beaches and heritage sites, Thailand is being turned into a golfers' paradise with estimates it could attract 350,000 foreign golfers this year, up from 300,000 last year.
Under the Thailand Golf Paradise campaign launched yesterday, annual revenue spent by golfers is expected to reach 6.2 billion baht.
Most of the golfers who visit Thailand come from Japan, Korea, Australia, South Africa, Britain, Germany, and Scandinavian countries.
By 2007, the number of golfers travelling to Thailand is expected to increase to one million, generating annual revenue of 18.45 billion baht. To ...
