Mar. 6--With the rapid expansion of its movie complexes, Major Cineplex Group Plc believes it is on course to capture half of Thailand's 3.5-billion-baht-a-year cinema business by the end of this year, up from about 40 percent at present.
That leaves the other two rivals -- SF Cinema City Co and Entertain Golden Village Co (EGV) -- fighting for second place in the highly competitive entertainment market.
SF Cinema City claims to have a 30 percent share, with the remaining 20 percent held by EGV.
