Mar. 6--Thai exporters should establish an internal self-auditing system to prevent anti-dumping investigations by importing countries, suggests an international trade lawyer.
As tariff barriers had gradually been eliminated under free trade, many countries had introduced non-tariff barriers to protect their manufacturers, especially anti-dumping measures, said Apisith John Sutham, a law expert of PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal and Tax Consultants Ltd.
Mr Apisith pointed out that Thai exporters should compare their production costs with those of their rivals more frequently or at least every three months to check the movements of dumping margins. He ...
