Mar. 5--The selection process for the new president of the Telephone Organisation of Thailand may be scrapped following the recent recommendation by Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra to merge the agency with the Communications Authority of Thailand before listing on the stock market.
The TOT is currently in the second round of finding a successor to Sutham Malila, who is to retire in September. The new president would head TOT Corporation, the new name for the organisation after it is corporatised.
