Mar. 5--Many people probably believe globalisation contributed to Thailand's economic crisis and that the Sept 11 events were an attack on the American-driven "global system".

Those perceptions, true or not, place additional demands on chief executives and the international business world, a seminar was told in Bangkok on Friday.

Arun Maira, the chairman of Boston Consulting Group, India, a panelist at the CEO Insights Forum, said chief executives could not ignore the impact on business and the country.
