Thai Mobile-Phone Distributor Offers Trips to World Cup for Top Sellers.

Mar. 4--International Engineering Plc is spending almost 100 million baht on buying package trips to the World Cup soccer tournament to reward its dealers who can sell the most mobile phones.
The packages cost about 170,000 baht each, said IEC chief executive Jrarat Pingclasai, without disclosing the target that each dealer must meet to be eligible.
IEC is one of the three distributors of TA Orange's mobile phones. It has agreement with TA Orange to sell 100,000 handsets this year.
Currently, IEC has 484 distributing outlets -- 202 in Bangkok and 213 in the provinces. Of the total, 69 belong to IEC.
