Mar. 4--As pre-paid services are growing rapidly nationwide, the country's largest mobile-phone operator, Advanced Info Service, plans to spend 450 million baht to expand its One-2-Call service in the provinces this year.

In the past two years, the service has rapidly gained popularity and now holds a 40 percent market share, according to AIS.

Songsak Premsuk, the executive vice-president, said sales for the One-2-Call service were projected at four million new users. Of the total, 1.6 million would be in the Bangkok area and the rest would be in the provinces.
