Apr. 5--Royal Garden Resorts Plc (RGR), the hospitality division of the Minor Group, has bought out Baan Boran Chiang Rai Co led by veteran architect ML Tridhosyuth Devakula in a deal worth 145 million baht.

The purchase gives RGR the ownership of Baan Boran Chiang Rai, a five-star 110-room property near the Golden Triangle.

RGR now controls seven hotels totalling 1,760 rooms under the Marriott, Regent, Anantara, Baan Boran and Royal Garden brands in both Thailand and Vietnam.

The company's operations include two shopping plazas, one each in Pattaya and Bangkok, and an entertainment division built ...
