Apr. 4--Ayudhya JF Asset Management will hold an initial public offering for units of its new foreign investment fund on April 29-30.
The fund, a global convertible bond fund, is one of the five recently approved for sale to Thai investors by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
AJF managing director Reungvit Nandhabiwat said the focus on convertible bonds offered local investors advantages of both debt instruments and equity.
"The investments will benefit from normal bond appreciation when the market is bearish and yield gains from conversion to stock as the market flourishes," Mr Reungvit said.
