Apr. 2--Phoenix Pulp and Paper Plc expects its revenue this year to decline compared with last year due to falling pulp prices in the world market.
Global pulp prices have been declining since late last year and the downward trend was likely to continue until the middle of this year, said managing director S.K. Mittal.
Pulp was currently fetching around US$350 a tonne, compared with $450-500 in November, he said.
Phoenix had been operating for some time at its full production capacity of 220,000 tonnes a year, so the company's revenue depended mainly on product prices in the world market, he said.
