May 3--TA Orange Co, the new mobile phone operator, has asked the Telephone Organisation of Thailand to talk mobile phone giant Advanced Info Service into establishing a direct link between the two cellular networks.
The request came after AIS declined to consider a proposal by TA Orange to connect the two networks and bypass the TOT's gateway.
TA Orange has signed up 300,000 subscribers since mid-March and the number is rising fast.
