May 2--The Finance Ministry is considering revising regulations on liquor production and distribution to allow more medium-sized firms to enter the industry, according to Vijit Vongvivat, deputy director-general of the Excise Department.
The department currently requires producers of distilled spirits such as white spirits and whiskey to have a facility of at least 200 rai in size and production capacity of at least 90,000 litres per day, based on an alcohol level of 28 percent.
