New Promotion Pitches Jakarta, Indonesia, to Thai Visitors.
Jun. 4--Indonesia will launch this month its first major tourism promotion in Thailand in recent years to arrest the declining Thai tourist flow to the country.
The promotion campaign, scheduled from June 26 to 28 in Bangkok, will be launched by the Jakarta City Government Tourism Office especially to encourage travellers to experience the capital.
The number of Thai tourists to Jakarta has been waning steadily. Five years ago, Thai tourists to Jakarta totalled 17,700 a year but that number decreased to 12,000 last year.
