Jun. 4--The Consumer Price Index in May rose by 0.1 percent from April, mainly on the back of a marginal lift in prices of non-food items while food prices eased, according to the Internal Trade Department.
The CPI in May stood at 104.3 points, up from 104.2 in April.
The year-on-year CPI in May also increased by 0.1 percent and the index for the first five month this year was up by 0.5 percent, said Siripol Yodmuangcharoen, the department's director-general.
