Jun. 4--Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) expects debt restructuring to reduce its non-performing loans to 5 percent of its total lending within the next five years, according to Nabhengbhasang Krishnamara, the bank's executive vice-president.
The bank aimed to restructure 20 billion baht in loans this year. It expected to reduce non-performing assets, which stood at 12 billion baht, through asset sales, he said.
It planned to hold 121 property fairs nationwide this year, with assets on sale likely to be worth 1.8 billion baht.
