Jun. 3--Building on the growing popularity of Japanese food, Thai Hachiban Co, the Ichiban-Ramen restaurant operator, plans to spend 225 million baht to open more branches and set up a new plant to produce ingredients in Pathum Thani.
Paisan Loungputtramate, the company's president, said 120 million baht would be spent on relocating the company's factory from Bang Lamphu, Bangkok, to a new site on eight rai at the Nava Nakhon industrial estate.
The new plant will supply all raw materials to Ichiban-Ramen outlets nationwide, using at least 22,500 kilogrammes of flour a day.
