2004 OCT 7 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- The DataLex ADHD Indicator Report from Lexicor, the first biological assessment tool for ADHD, was introduced in Denver, Colorado.
The DataLex ADHD Indicator Report uses brainwave data collected from a non-invasive, quantitative electroencephalogram (qEEG) to help answer the question, "does my child have attention deficit disorder?"
"It's about making the right diagnosis," said John Drozd, PhD, clinical director of Lexicor. "Although the issue of over-and under-diagnosis of ADHD is an important one, the most important question we all should be asking is, 'Is ADHD the right diagnosis in this child's case?'"
The DataLex ADHD Indicator Report from Lexicor gives parents, primary care physicians, and pediatricians a new tool for the assessment of ADHD. The report complements the patient history and medical examination, and is combined with a physician's expert evaluation to lead to a more accurate assessment of ADHD.
