Like the gridiron, only EA Sports and ESPN are hitting the hardwood this season. The two have continually gone down to the wire for the b-ball crown, and this year is no different. Now that the fourth-quarter buzzer has sounded again, let's see who's really got game.

PATRICK: 2K5 is the perfect simulation of the NBA--the two-man game, the pacing. Live, however, is still too arcadey; I feel like I'm going coast to coast in a couple of seconds. Don't me get wrong, I'm all for runnin' and gunnin', but it ain't representative of the actual sport.

DAN L: I'm with Patrick...for the most part. 2K5 looks better, moves better, and controls more intuitively than EA's …
