Jul. 13--For the 12th year in a row, Mayo Clinic ranked No. 2 in U.S. News and World Report's list of "America's Best Hospitals," just behind Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
Among 17 specialties, Mayo ranked first in five areas: digestive disorders, hormonal disorders, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics and rheumatology. Mayo ranked in the top five hospitals in 13 categories and missed the top 10 ranking in only one area -- pediatrics.
