Jul. 4--The Commerce Ministry began an investigation yesterday into alleged dumping of steel products from 14 countries.
The investigation covers flat hot-rolled steel in coils and non-coil form originating in Japan, South Africa, Russia, Kazakhstan, India, South Korea, Taiwan, Venezuela, Argentina, Ukraine, Algeria, Indonesia, Slovakia and Romania.
The ministry's anti-dumping committee had found sufficient evidence of steel from the 14 countries being sold below cost in Thailand, said Commerce Minister Adisai Bodharamik.
