Jul. 3--GMM Grammy Plc, the country's largest recording company, says it will begin taking legal action on Friday against karaoke operators who refuse to pay music copyright fees.
The firm issued the warning yesterday after it completed registering its copyright fee collection information with the Trade and Services Committee.
Under new regulations, music firms must file details on lists of songs, composers and fees charged by their collection organisations.
The details registered are intended to help resolve any disagreements that may arise among karaoke operators, music firms and the authorities.
