Jul. 1--The Telephone Organisation of Thailand says it will not invest by itself over the next two years in network expansion of the 1900 Megahertz mobile phone system.
Instead it will look for a roaming service with other operators.
For phase-two expansion, which has been approved by the TOT board and the cabinet, private telecommunications operators will be invited to invest.
The expansion of the service to two million subscribers from 300,000 is expected to cost about 20 billion baht.
