Sep. 4--Total Quality Products Co, the owner of the Huskies brand of leather goods, plans to spend 100 million baht to open 10 shops abroad in the next three to five years.
Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan are among the countries targetted, with each shop costing 10-15 million baht to establish, according to Pong Ingkasit, the managing director.
The company is among 31 firms that obtained the Prime Minister's Export Award this year in two categories: Thai-owned Brand and Design. The creation of the Huskies brand was inspired by Mr Pong's liking for the Siberian Huskies, working dogs.
