Sep. 4--The Finance Ministry will establish a finance corporation to fund local government projects, Choedchai Khannabha, the deputy director-general of the Fiscal Policy Office, said yesterday.

The corporation will accept deposits from companies and other incorporated bodies.

As well, it will be able to issue bonds and borrow funds from commercial banks or the government.

It will make loans to local bodies and help them issue bonds, as well as guarantee the bonds and help securitise assets.

The corporation will have an initial capital of two billion baht, 50 percent of which will be financed by ...
