Sep. 4--The Export-Import Bank of Thailand posted a net profit of 184 million baht for the first half of the year, slightly down from the net profit of 187 million posted last year.
Profits before loan-loss provisions, export credit insurance and claims were 610 million baht in the first half, up from 600 million the year before, said Exim Bank president Sataporn Jinachitra.
Non-performing loans at the end of June were 3.8 billion baht, representing 12.7 percent of direct lending and 10 percent of total lending. Bad loans at the end of 2001 were 3.1 billion baht.
