Sep. 3--The Mass Communications Organisation of Thailand (MCOT) yesterday signed an agreement to exchange television programmes with Turner International Asia-Pacific.

The memorandum will allow the country's largest state-run media unit to put its programmes on the CNN network worldwide, and for CNN to provide training for MCOT officials here and at its Atlanta-based headquarters.

Mingkwan Saengsuwan, the MCOT's director-general, said the agreement with CNN was the first step in his plan to export Thai programmes worldwide.

At present, he is in talks with foreign broadcasters, in particular CCTV station of China, China Radio International ...
