Oct. 1--KPMG Thailand said yesterday that it would establish a new subsidiary, KPMG Poomchai, following the merger with Inthanon Business and Advisory.

Inthanon was formerly known as Arthur Andersen Thailand. KPMG and Arthur Andersen announced their merger in April, following the collapse of Andersen in the wake of the Enron accounting scandal.

SGV Na Thalang, previously the local partner of Andersen, said several months ago that it would join the KPMG Group.
