Nov. 5--The National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB) says it is time to evaluate the government's populist policy adopted two years ago.
The government has said that some 100 billion baht invested in six major programmes had started to bear fruit, helping the economic recovery.
The programmes include the village funds, the 30-baht health-care scheme, the One Tambon, One-Product programme, community business promotion, small and medium-sized enterprise financing and farmers' debt suspension. All are aimed at revitalising the economy at the grassroots level.
