Nov. 4--Toshiba Thailand Co will spend 14 million baht on promoting new models of "healthy" appliances and digital cameras over the next five months.
Announcing the plan last week, Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, the company's vice-president, said Toshiba recently launched its Ion Fan in Thailand after sales of the appliance rocketed in Japan.
The product now accounted for half of all electric fans sold in Japan, she claimed, although she could not give exact figures.
