Nov. 4--Reversing its stance, Motorola has agreed to import mobile switching equipment made by Nortel for the CDMA network test which is scheduled to begin on Wednesday.
Motorola had earlier refused to import the equipment for the test of the Code Division Multiple Access mobile-phone network after Nortel rejected its request to absorb the test costs.
Motorola had argued that Nortel should pay the cost as it stood to benefit if the proposal was accepted.
